Hilbilly Whiz is enjoying his new home. He came last Tuesday and is settling in nicely. Bill took him around the field and showed him all the “scary” stuff out there. He is well mannered and not afraid of anything. He will be a great lesson horse. We are very anxious to start using him. Our hope for the future will be to teach some basic riding skills to some of the kids. His previous owners brought him home to us and were very impressed with his new home. We could tell they really cared about Hilbilly because they donated him to us and said if it doesn’t work out, they would like to take him back. He worked a summer at Maybury Stables in Northville as a trail horse so we know he will learn his job pretty quickly.
Skeeter still is not too happy about the new “rival” in his herd. Oreo has taken him under her wing, so he does have a new friend, (of the female persuasion)
He is a registered Paint Horse and some of his markings are similar to Paint’s.
We will be saddling him up this coming weekend and showing him the trail.
Hillbilly Whiz is a cutie! I look forward to meeting him this weekend:)
Praise God for all the horses at the Ranch – I was blessed to ride Hillbilly Whiz today and he is awesome. I just love the way God is blessing Lazy B’s and is honoring the work being done there – for him…
